For Parents

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our non-profit organization. Parent volunteers and community volunteers are the reason that we can continue to offer the high-quality education, activities, and events for Canadian Pony Club members. Experience with horses is appreciated, but not essential for volunteers to support our members at various activities and events. For example, volunteers can help run concession stands at events, record times for swimmers and runners at tetrathlon, and support members earn their badges by creating art work, writing a story or poem, make a multimedia presentation, and more!

Parents become associate members of the Canadian Pony Club. Some horsey parents also join the Pony Club as Horse Master members! Parent volunteers can serve as equestrian discipline reps (e.g., club dressage rep) or help with other aspects, such as taking photos or posting on social media. Parents can get even more involved in branch activities and events by volunteering on the branch executive committee, and even volunteer at regional and national levels.
